Homemade Peppermint Foot Scrub

Summer is almost here, which means the sandals are coming out perfectly pedicured feet are a must. This is a cheap, quick and very easy recipe for a homemade minty foot scrub using items you've probably already got at home. The scrub itself is really effective at exfoliating, moisturising and refreshing feet.

Step One - Take an empty Ikea KORKEN Jar (they're only £1) and fill it with brown sugar.

Step Two - Add about 30ml of Olive Oil to the sugar, and stir. Add more if required, depending on how sugary or oily you want the scrub to be.

Step Three - Add a couple of drops of Peppermint Oil and mix in. Add a little ribbon if you're thinking of giving it as a gift, just because it makes it look all pretty.

And that's it! To use the scrub, soak feet in warm water or have a bath or shower. Take a little handful of the scrub, and massage it into the feet. Rinse off, moisturise and pop on your favourite cotton socks whist the moisturise soaks in over night. You'll awake to super soft, smooth sandal ready feet!

If you want, you can replace the peppermint oil for something else such as lavender or citrus depending on your taste.

I'd love to know if you have tried this recipe, or have made something similar yourself.
